Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Kilns/Lift Operator for our Albany, GA lumber facility. Starting pay is $22/hr with potential increases based on skills and contribution to mill performance.

Schedule includes 7:00 am–7:00 pm with a 2/2/3 rotation and a $0.50 shift premium for overnight hours. You will operate kilns, manage burner operations, and move lumber using a multi-ton forklift in a climate-controlled outdoor setting.

Qualifications

• Six months in manufacturing/industrial env or related technical training.
• Six months operating a forklift or similar heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• React to kiln alarms and control process (temperatures, moisture, flows).
• Operate burners and kilns to dry quality lumber.
• Perform PMs and address issues on the machine center with precision.
