Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Taylor Forklift Driver to join our Kilns Team at the Talladega mill. This on-site role will require operating a forklift to stack and load lumber into kilns while helping maintain production levels.

Shifts are 12 hours, 2/2/3 rotating from 5:30 to 5:30 with overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed. Candidates must have forklift experience and be able to work safely in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months' experience operating forklift or similar heavy equipment in industrial settings.
• Willing to work any shift including overtime, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to plant safety and environmental guidelines.
• Respond to alarms and follow fire/CO procedures.
• Stack lumber neatly on the kiln loading area.
• Perform basic forklift maintenance and housekeeping.
• Enter work orders in MOE system.
• Adjust start/stop times to fit production needs.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
