Job summary

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is seeking a Kiln Operator for the C shift. The role involves monitoring tile progression through the kiln and recording hourly temperatures during the shift, while adhering to ISO procedures and safety standards.

The successful candidate will support a collaborative team environment, maintain a clean workspace, and participate in required training to ensure efficient, safe production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Good record keeping skills.
• Good listening skills.
• Accurate measurement capability.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor movement of tile through the kiln firing process to ensure the operation runs efficiently.
• Record kiln temperature every hour during the shift.
• Monitor equipment or processes and report problems to the supervisor.
• Follow ISO operating procedures and control plan.
• Maintain a collaborative team environment through communication and cooperation.
• Keep workstation clean, safe, and organized; attend shift changes on time.
• Complete training including ergonomic, safety, health and environmental.
• Identify and adjust workstation arrangement and workflow to reduce risk factors and report issues to supervision.
