Job summary

The Old Colony YMCA is seeking a KidZone staff member at our Middleboro location to provide enthusiastic, safe, and friendly supervision for children. You will help create a welcoming member experience while keeping the environment clean and inviting throughout the day.

Responsibilities include supervising children, following the organization’s mission, and upholding the code of conduct. Candidates must be at least 16, able to lift up to 40 lbs, and obtain CPR/First Aid within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 16 years of age.
• Enjoy working with and building assets in children.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certifications—must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Physical ability to lift small children up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk and bend throughout the work day.

Responsibilities

• Provide enthusiastic, positive service representing the Old Colony Y.
• Supervise and care for children in KidZone at all times; ensure safety and cleanliness of the environment.
• Uphold the code of conduct and reflect the organization’s mission through duties.

Staff will be responsible for understanding the integral role of KidZone in the overall member experience and will provide quality supervision and care at all times for the children in his/her care. KidZone Staff will keep the environment clean, safe, and attractive at all times. S/he will uphold the code of conduct and will ensure that all areas of the job responsibilities reflect the mission of the Old Colony Y. The KidZone staff will display and encourage the character traits of caring, respect, responsibility, and honesty in the fulfillment of job duties.

Pay Range The estimated pay range for this job. Disclosing pay information promotes competitive and equitable pay. The actual pay rate will depend on the person's qualifications and experience. $15.00 - $17.25 / hour
