Midtown Athletic Club is seeking a KidTown/Child Care Associate with a focus on movement-based activities, safety, and family engagement. The role emphasizes fostering an energetic, supportive environment for children aged 8 weeks to 15 years old, including arts and crafts and story time.

The position requires weekend availability, leadership, and strong communication with both children and parents. Training in CPR/First Aid is provided by Midtown, with compensation starting at $15.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with children in an educational setting.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Comfort with ages 8 weeks to 15 years.
• Ability to take initiative and lead youth confidently.
• Strong verbal communication with children and parents.
• Patient, outgoing and energetic presence.
• Able to stand and move for long periods; lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspire young members through movement, community and personal attention.
• Lead activities like arts & crafts, story time, and games.
• Communicate behavioral observations to parents at pick-up.
• Build relationships with families and ensure their needs are met.
• Keep spaces clean, germ-free and safe for all.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve KidTown and Varsity Club.
