United Legwear & Apparel Co. in New York, NY seeks an Associate Designer to support the design team for the PUMA Kids boys' apparel line. You will help bring innovative, trend-right, and commercially successful products to market from concept through production.

You will collaborate cross-functionally to develop assortments aligned with brand goals, consumer needs, and business strategies, with a focus on CAD development, color, and material outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or related area and 2+ years of design experience, including kidswear (boys).
• Knowledge of fashion trends and color, fabrics, and style.
• Creativity and artistic ability with strong color, texture, and pattern sense.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills for multitasking and follow-up.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, sketch, and develop ideas for multiple lines/collections based on direction and trends.
• Research trends and interpret them for the brand across colors, fabrics, and styles.
• Create seasonal CADs and color updates for multiple brands.
• Produce detailed tech packs and manage development from concept to pre-production.
• Enter Tech Packs into Exenta system.
• Coordinate daily with factories on tech pack revisions and approvals.
• Review lab dips and strike-offs and coordinate with sales on design ideas.
• Tag and organize samples for market and meetings.
• Perform additional duties to support company needs.
