Job summary

KidStrong Woodbridge is seeking energetic coaches to mentor children aged 6 months to 11 years, guiding brain, physical and character development per monthly curriculum.

Ideal candidates bring coaching experience with kids and comfort discussing the curriculum with parents. Roles offer a mix of weekday mornings and evenings, plus weekend hours, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children is non-negotiable.
• Prior coaching experience with kids in the KidStrong age range preferred.
• Experience speaking to and educating parents on the curriculum.
• Knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques and body mechanics.
• Positive, motivating interpersonal communication and a self-starter attitude.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Coach classes with 6 to 15 children aged roughly 6 months to 11 years.
• Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by HQ.
• Ensure classes start/end on schedule and follow curriculum pace.
• Greet students and guardians at the start of class.
• Maintain a dynamic, fun, professional demeanor in class.
• Demonstrate and manage exercises and activities.
• Keep the center clean, including lobby, bathrooms and floors.
• Record class data using the KS Coach’s App and share attendance/awards with parents.
• Communicate professionally with teammates via Slack.
• Work in a physically intensive environment and assist with safety and technique.
