A children's coaching center in Everett is looking for passionate KidStrong Coaches to engage with children aged 12 months to 11 years. You'll lead classes that focus on the brain, physical, and character development while also communicating with parents about the curriculum. A flexible work schedule is available, and candidates with coaching experience will be prioritized. Ideal for those enthusiastic about making a positive impact on children's lives.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children ages 12 months to 11 years.
• Teach and implement the KidStrong curriculum.
• Maintain a fun and professional class environment.
• Greet students and parents at the start of each class.
• Maintain a dynamic, fun, professional demeanor while leading class.
• Demonstrate and manage exercises safely and effectively.
• Ensure center cleanliness and equipment safety.
• Record class data in the KS Coach App and share reports with parents.
• Collaborate with coworkers and attend trainings and staff meetings.
• Be prepared for physically demanding shifts and assist with setup/cleanup.

The Role & Schedule

We are looking for coaches with an athletic or coaching background who ideally have experience coaching kids walking to 11 years old.

KidStrong Coach would focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development that stems from evolving monthly curriculum.

Ideal candidates must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding “the why” behind the KidStrong curriculum.

Our classes run typically weekdays 9am -11am and evenings 3pm until 7 pm, and weekends are typically from 8am through 3:30pm.

Opportunity for a flexible work schedule depending on studio needs.

Additional opportunity to increase scheduled hours through private party coaching hours.

Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus, but not required!

Coach Responsibilities

• Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children, age groups range from roughly 12 months old to 11 years old.
• Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team.
• Must be able to ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum.
• Greet students as well as the parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at beginning of class.
• Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading class.
• Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises.
• Ensure cleanliness of the center.
• Effectively use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records of data for parents (attendance, awards, etc.).
• Communicate professionally with co-workers.
• Complete trainings as directed.
• Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.
• Must be comfortable working "hands‑on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.
• Assist parents of students, ages 3 and younger, with the direction and flow of a class.
• Attend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next month's curriculum.
• Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by KidStrong Management.
• (Optional) Learn and manage Coach KidStrong Camp - special classes held by centers when local schools are not operating (for example: Winter Break, Summer Break).

• Passion for working with children is non-negotiable!
• Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred.
• Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on the KidStrong curriculum.
• Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics.
• CPR certified.
• Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-starter who just gets a job done.
