Job summary

YMCA is seeking a Kids Zone Rep to supervise and lead activities for children aged 6 weeks through 11 years, ensuring health and safety standards are met and Christian values are integrated into programming.

Ideal candidates will display excellent communication and teamwork, maintain accurate attendance records, and be available Monday–Friday for morning shifts. CPR/ASHI certification within 30 days is required post-hire.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience working with children or in a related field preferred.
• Ability to work well with children of various ages and abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule.
• Capable of working as a team player.
• Ability to maintain a safe environment.
• Obtain ASHI (CPR) certification within 30 days of employment (training is provided).

Responsibilities

• Lead educational, age-appropriate and Christian-valued activities for children ages 6 weeks-11 years.
• Maintain health, safety and cleanliness standards of Kids Zone.
• Provide superior customer service to members and their children.
• Implement assigned programming.
• Maintain accurate records relating to attendance.
• Provide care and supervision of children in Kids Zone with emphasis on overall safety and wellness.
• Communicate appropriately with other staff members in a positive manner.
• Attend staff meetings and complete all required trainings.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
