ACAC - Atlantic Coast Athletic Clubs is seeking a reliable Kids Zone supervisor to ensure safe, engaging activities for members’ children. You will recruit and train staff, manage schedules, and promote a high level of customer service across shifts.

The role requires childcare experience, strong communication, and a passion for working with kids, with a schedule that includes varied shifts to cover weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Prior professional childcare experience required.
• Experience leading and supervising teams strongly preferred.
• Genuine interest in working with children.
• Superior customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Staff the Kids Zone, maintain team schedule, hire and train new members.
• Monitor team productivity, provide feedback and coaching.
• Foster a team culture focused on goals and customer service.
• Conduct periodic and annual team performance evaluations.
• Inform members of events and activities; encourage participation.
• Handle member issues, uphold club policies and procedures.
• Create and support events to promote the department and club.
• Maintain regular hours on the department schedule.

Job Description

Summary/objective

Responsible for the safe, orderly, successful, and superior operation of the acac Kids Zone

Essential functions

• Responsible for staffing the Kids Zone, including maintaining the team schedule, hiring new team members and training
• Monitor team member productivity, provide constructive feedback and coaching
• Create and foster a team culture which is centered on achieving goals with high level of customer service
• Conduct periodic and annual team performance evaluations
• Keep team and members informed of events and activities and encourage participation
• Support and handle member issues; make decisions in consideration of the club’s policies and procedures
• Create and support special events to promote department and club
• Maintain regularly scheduled hours on department schedule
• Ensure equipment and work areas are in safe, working, and clean condition
• Collaborate with department managers to troubleshoot club related issues and ensure an overall high level of success for the club

Requirements

Physical demands

• Must be able to stand, move, walk, and bend for the duration of a shift
• Ability to stretch, reach, pull, push and use repetitive arm, hand, and leg motion
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Must have ability and willingness to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Required competencies, education, and experience

• High School diploma required, college degree preferred
• Prior professional childcare experience required
• Prior experience with leading and supervising teams highly preferred
• Must have genuine interest in working with and interacting with children
• Superior customer service and communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
