Job summary

ACAC - ATLANTIC COAST ATHLETIC CLUBS is seeking a housekeeping supervisor to lead the team and ensure a clean, fully functional facility. You will manage daily cleaning, train staff, and uphold top-tier member service.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will coordinate with the Facilities Director and other managers, monitor performance, and manage budgets for supplies and operations. This role requires leadership, communication, and a passion for service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and supervising teams.
• Experience with department budgets.
• Professional housekeeping experience required.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership with excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities.
• Responsible for the hiring and training of team members.
• Develop an adequate staffing plan and team schedule.
• Monitor team member productivity, provide constructive feedback and coaching.
• Create and foster a team culture focused on goals with high customer service.
• Conduct periodic and annual team performance evaluations.
• Keep team and members informed of events and activities and encourage participation.
• Support and handle member issues; make decisions in line with club policies.
• Create and support special events to promote department and club.
• Maintain regularly scheduled hours on department schedule.
• Create and execute routine daily cleaning schedule for the facility.
• Oversee daily housekeeping duties by team members.
• Seek out improvements to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Ensure club common areas are safe, working, and clean.
• Coordinate with Facilities Director for timely maintenance and repairs.
• Purchase and maintain housekeeping supplies.
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests.
• Collaborate with department managers to troubleshoot issues and ensure success.
• Operate within budget guidelines for supplies, costs, and vendor pricing.

• - Ensure common areas of the club in safe, working, and clean condition
• - Coordinate with Facilities Director to ensure timely maintenance, cleaning, and repairs
• - Purchase and maintain housekeeping supplies
• - Respond promptly to all housekeeping requests
• - Collaborate with department managers to troubleshoot club related issues and ensure an overall high level of success for the club
• - Operate within budget guidelines for the purchasing supplies, operational costs, pricing outside vendors and contractors

Requirements

Physical demands

• - Must be able to stand, move, walk, bend, reach, stretch and use repetitive arm and leg motion throughout the shift
• - Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
• - Must be able to carry a vacuum backpack
• - Must have ability and willingness to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Required competencies, education, and experience

• - College Degree preferred, High School diploma required
• - Prior experience with leading and supervising teams highly preferred
• - Prior experience working with department financials and budgets
• - Prior professional housekeeping experience required
• - Superior customer service skills
• - Proficient computer skills
• - Must be at least 18 years old

• - Promptly respond to work-related correspondence
