Job summary

The YMCA Everett location is seeking a Kids Zone Assistant to supervise and engage children aged 6 weeks to 10 years in our drop-in program, ensuring safety and positive experiences through curriculum-based activities. You’ll help run games and crafts, support staff, communicate with parents, and participate in events like Kids Night Out, while upholding YMCA values and positive team collaboration.

• Experience working with children in group settings (babysitting, camps, coaching, volunteering).
• Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based activities.
• Strong communication with children, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision by staying engaged with children at all times.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere for children and families.
• Implement games, crafts, and enrichment activities using the Kids Zone curriculum.
• Support staff in delivering high-quality, developmentally appropriate experiences.
• Support YMCA family events, ensuring a safe and welcoming experience for all.
• Communicate professionally with parents/guardians about their child's experience.
