Job summary

Centric Brands is seeking a Technical Designer for the Kids division under the Under Armour license, based in New York. You will collaborate with Design and cross-functional teams to ensure impeccable fit, construction and design aesthetics for children’s apparel.

The role requires 5+ years in Children’s technical design, strong pattern making and grading knowledge, and proficiency in Flex PLM, Adobe, and Microsoft Office; 3D Browzwear is a plus.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of children’s silhouettes, construction, sewing techniques, and trims.
• Technical understanding of body growth and fit.
• Pattern making, construction, and grading knowledge.
• Knowledge of product engineering, development, manufacturing and child safety guidelines.
• Ability to lead fittings and take detailed notes.
• Strong math skills for accurate spec revisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in Flex PLM, Adobe, Microsoft Office; 3D Browzwear a plus.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritize work.
• Graduate with degree in Fashion Technical Design / Patternmaking.
• 5+ years in Children’s technical design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and cross-functional teams to ensure fit and aesthetics.
• Create and maintain detailed tech packs with specs and tolerances.
• Measure garments from proto to TOP and conduct fit sessions.
• Provide technical direction to bring samples to brand requirements.
• Issue grading guidelines to vendors after fit approval.
• Coordinate with production to ensure on-time delivery.
