Job summary

The City of Shoreview, Minnesota, is hiring Swimming Instructors for all shifts at the Shoreview Community Center. Weekday mornings and weekend mornings are prioritized, with training provided for all staff. Group lessons run 40 minutes and private lessons 30 minutes.

Instructors must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, attend training meetings, and maintain accurate hours. Summer and Fall/Winter/Spring hours vary by season; age requirement is 15+.

Qualifications

• No prior teaching experience required; training provided.
• Must be at least 15 years old.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time for shift.
• Teach swim strokes and water safety rules to various age groups.
• Observe swimmers and pool area; respond to unsafe conditions.
