Job summary

Bright Stars Academy in Egg Harbor Township, NJ, is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor to lead engaging lessons for children of varying ages. You will teach water safety, water comfort, and stroke development, following our structured curriculum while fostering a positive, safe learning environment in the pool.

Join a dedicated aquatics team with paid training and flexible scheduling. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and obtain Red Cross CPR/AED

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in childcare, camps, schools or similar settings.
• Experience in swimming, lifeguarding, competitive swimming, or aquatic instruction is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to instruct, encourage and connect with children.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging group and individual swim lessons while ensuring student safety at all times.
• Follow the swim lesson curriculum and instructional guidelines provided by Bright Stars Academy.
• Teach water safety, water comfort, basic swimming skills, and stroke development based on each student’s ability level.
• Provide clear instruction, encouragement, and feedback to help students gain confidence and progress.
• Supervise lesson participants and monitor activity on the pool deck.
