Join to apply for the Kids Science Camp Counselors Needed role at Mad Science Of West New Jersey.

As a Mad Scientist, you will inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers through our innovative activities that demonstrate what science is really about. Our goal is to teach kids science in a digestible manner that will stay with them for a lifetime.

You will present engaging, hands-on science programs to elementary-aged children, including launching rockets and performing thrilling experiments. Camp themes include BRIXOLOGY, NASA STEM Explorers, Robots: Paths to Power, Underground Explorers, Chemical Curiosities, among others. We have collaborated with Crayola, NASA, and Lego to develop some of our programs.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Attend orientation and training before camp begins.
2. Ensure the safety of children during camp activities.
3. Engage actively with children during activities and experiments to ensure they have fun and learn effectively.
4. Be able to lift equipment, which varies in size and weight; heavier kits are wheeled.
5. Drive to and from camp using your own vehicle. Camps are located in areas such as Freehold, Monroe Township, Red Bank, Brookdale Community College, Ocean County College, Rumson, and others.

Schedule and Pay

1. You may work half-day or full-day camps. Greater availability increases your work opportunities. Camps run Monday through Friday.
2. Half-day: 9 am - 12:30 pm or 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm.
3. Full-day: 9 am - 3:30 pm.
4. Half-day camps pay $325 per week; full-day camps pay $575 per week.
