As a Mad Scientist, you will inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers through our innovative activities that show kids what science is really all about. We strive to teach kids science in a digestible manner that will stay with them for a lifetime.

You will present engaging, hands-on science programs to elementary-aged children, including launching rockets and performing thrilling experiments. Camp themes include BRIXOLOGY, NASA STEM Explorers, Robots: Paths to Power, Underground Explorers, Chemical Curiosities, and more. We have collaborated with Crayola, NASA, and Lego to develop our programs.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend orientation and training before camp starts.
• Ensure the safety of children during camp activities.
• Engage actively with children during experiments to ensure fun and educational experiences.
• Be able to lift and transport equipment, using your vehicle if necessary, to various camp locations.
• Drive to and from camp using your own vehicle; locations include Freehold, Monroe Township, Red Bank, Brookdale Community College, Ocean County College, Rumson, and others.

Schedule and Compensation

• Work either half-day or full-day camps; availability affects the number of camps you can attend.
• Half-day: 9 am-12:30 pm or 12:30 pm-3:30 pm.
• Full-day: 9 am-3:30 pm.
• Pay rate: $325/week for half-day camps; $575/week for full-day camps.
