• Manage the KIDS Ministry budget.
• Represent NLBC on school campuses and in off-campus ministry opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor and Executive Pastor of Ministries.

NLB KIDS PASTOR

The next Kids Pastor will be a dynamic leader who seeks to minister to kids in grades Kindergarten-5th in the church and reach the elementary schools in the area to lead them into a life-changing relationship with Jesus.

KIDS PASTOR IS A PERSON WHO IS:

• Called to Kids Ministry and loves kids
• Exhibits a personal and growing relationship with God, has a teachable spirit, and a healthy family life
• Above reproach
• Teachable and wants to learn our DNA
• Capable of creating and executing a long-term strategy for spiritual + numerical growth in the Kids Ministry
• Evangelistic, both personally and professionally
• A self-motivated leader who is capable of casting and imparting vision
• Addresses conflict in a biblical manner
• Has a personal spiritual life congruent with biblical mandates for leaders (1 Timothy 3:1-7)

KIDS PASTOR WILL:

• Be a dynamic communicator with a teaching gift, demonstrate a deep understanding of Scripture, have a strong biblical& theological background, and teach in agreement with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000
• Develop and execute ministry goals that align with our discipleship process of being message-minded people making disciples to live on mission for God
• Be passionate to both reach unbelievers & to make disciples of believers
• Recruit, train, and shepherd Life Group Leaders, Kids Church Leaders, and other ministry volunteers
• Provide counseling and spiritual direction to kids
• Maintain contact with kids & parents, keeping them informed of ongoing activities
• Keep parents updated on ministry strategies & plans in a way that encourages partnership & involvement
• Support parents in effectively fulfilling their Christian parenting roles within the home
• Manage the KIDS Ministry budget
• Represent NLBC weekly on school campuses & through off-campus ministry opportunities
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor and Executive Pastor of Ministries

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Possesses a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s Degree is preferred)
• Two years’ experience in Kids Ministry
• Basic administrative and budgeting skills
