Job summary

Michaels is seeking a store-based event coordinator in the Binghamton-Vestal area to plan and execute a variety of events, including children’s parties, within the store. You will deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and ensure fast checkout experiences while handling merchandise duties and maintaining store standards.

The role includes coordinating multiple events, engaging customers of all ages, and supporting omni-channel processes such as BOPIS and Ship From Store.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events in-store, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with customers of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct participants in crafts; perform face painting and activities.
• Coordinate add-ons like goody bags and balloons per company standards.
• Communicate events to clients and store team members; manage emails and calls.
• Assist with omni-channel processes (BOPIS, Ship From Store) and store operations.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; support inventory and planogram tasks.
