Job summary

Central Wesleyan Church is seeking a Kids Ministry Support to partner with the Kids Ministry Director in creating a thriving, engaging environment for children and families. This role blends administrative excellence, relational leadership, volunteer development, and hands-on ministry involvement to help kids love church and families feel connected.

You will serve as a visible leader during weekend services and events, recruit and develop volunteers, coordinate curricula, and support ministry

Responsibilities

• Cultivate a fun, energetic, welcoming, and spiritually engaging Kids Ministry culture.
• Build excitement, momentum, and a strong sense of community among kids, families, and volunteers.
• Serve as a visible, relational leader during weekend services and ministry events.
• Model and champion the vision, values, and culture of The Well Church.
• Assist in recruiting, building, equipping, and leading volunteer teams.
• Help develop strong volunteer relationships, ownership, and engagement.
• Support volunteer scheduling, communication, training, and appreciation.
• Identify and develop emerging leaders within the ministry.
• Participate in teaching, leading activities, and creating engaging ministry experiences for children.
• Help create environments where kids encounter Jesus, build relationships, and grow spiritually.
• Build meaningful connections with children and parents through intentional, consistent interaction.
• Provide hands‑on leadership and support during weekend services and special events.
• Support weekly service preparation, curriculum coordination, classroom resources, and ministry logistics.
• Assist with attendance tracking, parent communication, and ministry systems.
• Help plan, organize, and execute ministry events and special initiatives.
• Partner with the Kids Ministry Director to implement ministry goals and continually improve ministry effectiveness.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Ministry Leadership & Culture

To help build a healthy, growing, and dynamic Kids Ministry by combining strong organizational support with relational leadership, team development, and a visible ministry presence that inspires kids, engages families, and empowers volunteers.
