Job summary

The Austin Stone Community Church is seeking a Kids Ministry Associate to work alongside the Kids Ministry Lead to promote a healthy children’s ministry, ensure that the children hear the truth of God, experience Christ’s love, and have fun at church. The KMA will collaborate with the congregation and family ministries teams and report to the Family Ministries Director.

Responsibilities include supporting the KML, maintaining databases, coordinating the ministry calendar and data tracking,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of experience in early childhood education or related field preferred.
• Experience leading volunteer team of more than 20 people is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist KML to lead Kids ministry in alignment with vision and strategies developed by the team.
• Provide administrative support to the KML, including database maintenance, calendar coordination, and data tracking.
• Assist with recruiting, screening, interview coordination, development, and deployment of volunteer leadership teams.
• Assist with faithful execution of curriculum, Sunday ministry, policies, and volunteer screening per safety policies.
• Assist with teaching, coaching volunteer teams, and serving in classrooms on Sundays as needed.
• Participate in pastoral care and shepherding of Kids Ministry volunteers.
• Communicate to parents about programs, resources, and promotion of Kids Ministry to the Congregation.
• Oversee weekly supply ordering and on-site storage of materials.
• Attend all required events and activities for The Austin Stone.
