Job description

Do you believe every child deserves an adult who truly sees them?

At Empowered Minds Kids Studio, we help children ages 4–14 build confidence, emotional resilience,

healthy habits, and essential life skills through meaningful relationships and play-based coaching. Founded by two former elementary educators turned Certified Kids Life Coaches, we believe every child deserves to feel seen, capable, and empowered to become the best version of themselves.

If you're looking for work that truly matters, we'd love to meet you.

About the Role

As a Kids Life Coach, you'll build genuine relationships with children and their families while helping kids develop confidence, emotional regulation, communication skills, executive functioning, resilience, and healthy habits.

No two days are the same.

One session might involve building with LEGOs to teach problem-solving. The next could be an obstacle course focused on perseverance, a nature walk exploring mindfulness, or a creative art activity that helps a child understand big emotions.

This is an active, engaging, relationship-centered role where creativity is encouraged and every child

receives an individualized coaching experience.

What You'll Do

  • Build trusting relationships with children and families.
  • Lead fun, engaging one‑on‑one coaching sessions through movement, games, creativity, and hands‑on learning.
  • Create individualized coaching plans based on each child's strengths and goals.
  • Teach life skills including confidence, emotional regulation, communication, executive functioning,
  • and resilience.
  • Communicate regularly with parents through thoughtful session updates.
  • Collaborate with fellow coaches to provide exceptional coaching experiences.
  • Assist with camps, workshops, and special events throughout the year.

Who We're Looking For

You’ll thrive on our team if you:

  • Naturally connect with children and enjoy building meaningful relationships.
  • Are playful, energetic, creative, and willing to be a little silly.
  • Believe relationships come before results.
  • Stay calm, patient, and encouraging during challenging moments.
  • Love learning and are excited to grow professionally.
  • Are dependable, self‑motivated, and take ownership of your work.
  • Want to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families.

This is not a desk job. You'll spend your days moving, laughing, playing games, sitting on the floor,

celebrating small victories, and helping kids discover what they're capable of becoming.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive, energetic attitude.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to actively participate in movement‑based activities with children.

Training & Growth

You don't need to know everything before you begin.

We provide comprehensive training in the Empowered Minds coaching philosophy, coaching framework, child connection strategies, and evidence‑based tools so you'll feel confident before coaching independently.

This position begins at approximately 15–20 hours per week, with opportunities for additional coaching hours, leadership responsibilities, and compensation growth as your skills and caseload develop.

Schedule

  • Approximately 15–20 hours per week
  • Primarily weekday afternoons (generally 2:30–6:30 PM with flexibility)
  • Occasional camps and special events

Why Empowered Minds?

When you join our team, you're joining a group of people who genuinely love what they do. We believe in supporting one another, celebrating growth, and creating a workplace filled with purpose, creativity, and joy.

We offer:

  • Paid training and ongoing professional development
  • A collaborative and supportive team culture
  • A beautiful, engaging coaching environment
  • Opportunities for professional growth
  • Meaningful work that truly changes lives

If you're simply looking for another job, this probably isn't it.

But if you're looking for meaningful work where you'll build lasting relationships, grow professionally, laugh often, and help children discover their strengths, we'd love to hear from you.
