Center for Transforming Lives (CTL) is seeking a Prep Cook to assist the lead Cook in preparing nutritious meals for children and staff in accordance with CACFP guidelines, DFPS standards, and Health Department policies. The role emphasizes timely meal service, kitchen sanitation, and accurate CACFP recordkeeping.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED (preferred), at least 12 months in a related role, and knowledge of food safety and nutrition.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of twelve months in a related position.
• Cooking in licensed childcare or school setting preferred.
• Texas Food Handlers Card preferred but must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Mansioni

• Support lead Cook in preparing nutritious meals according to CACFP guidelines.
• Serve meals to classrooms on time and at appropriate temperatures.
• Maintain a clean kitchen and storage area; monitor thermometers and expiry dates.
• Complete CACFP records and daily production reports with the lead cook.
• Be available to and respond professionally to parents/guardians and protect confidentiality.
