Job summary

KinderCare is hiring a Cook to prepare healthy meals and snacks for children in our centers, following menus designed by our in-house nutritionist. You will ensure safe storage, accurate documentation, and compliance with licensing requirements.

The role requires a love for children, food-handling credentials (or willingness to obtain), and the ability to work with a team. Minnesota adds a $3.00/hour premium on classroom hours.

Qualifications

• A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day.
• Familiarity with accurate conditions and food storage; aware of allergies and cross-contamination avoidance.
• Follow nutritious menus and prepare sufficient quantities for the center population.
• Basic math skills for measuring and portions; Food Handler's License or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and related equipment safely and hygienically.
• Order food and supplies.
• Dispense and store medication, as requested.
• Complete timely documentation according to KinderCare and licensing requirements.
• Assist with other daily center duties and support enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
