Job summary

KidStrong Mason in Ohio is seeking motivated coaches to deliver 45-minute, science-based classes for kids up to 11 years old. Each class features a Point Coach and Rover Coach, with various shifts including lobby duties. Training, safety, and a strong focus on fun and learning are emphasized.

The role includes daily attendance tracking, progress reporting, and occasional events. Compensation is hourly, non-exempt, with opportunities for advancement within the center hierarchy.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with kids is essential.
• Athletic or coaching background preferred (pediatric OT/PT acceptable).
• Comfortable talking to parents.
• Reliable, on time, and a self-starter.
• CPR certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• Must pass a background check and obtain KidStrong Coach Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coach ages 15 months–11 years with the current week's programming; understand the "why" behind the curriculum and explain it to parents in one sentence.
• Create positive interactions with students and families before, during, and after class; maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor.
• Record attendance, awards, and progress in the KS Coach App.
• Read and react to the daily Shift Operations Report (SOR) in the center's Slack channel; post AARs as assigned.
• Maintain daily and weekly cleaning and equipment checklists.
• Communicate professionally in Slack; check messages before shifts.
• Complete required KidStrong University modules before training and on an ongoing basis.
• Coach special events (Parents' Night Out, birthday parties, camps) when scheduled.
