Job summary

Nordstrom in Chicago is seeking a professional sales associate in Kids Apparel & Shoes. You will create a welcoming shopping experience for parents, kids, and gift shoppers alike, build rapport, offer expert sizing guidance, and grow long-term relationships through follow-ups as children grow into their next sizes.

Partner with expecting and new parents to help them navigate baby essentials, including shoes and baby gear.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Nordstrom's 5-Point Selling Standard in every customer interaction.
• Build and grow a personal customer base through in-store interactions, outreach and digital tools.
• Offer honest, confident style and fit feedback that earns trust and drives loyalty.
• Set and achieve personal sales goals and stay accountable to results.
• Keep the department customer-ready, including stocking, re-merchandising, price markdowns and inventory counts.
• Stay current on product knowledge and trends to serve as a trusted style resource.
• Show up for your team and contribute to a positive environment and productivity.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and peak periods.
• Follow Up with customers using the 2-2-2 method and Nordy Club enrollment.
