Job summary

Star Ride Kids, Inc. seeks a creative Kids Associate Designer to support the Lead Designer in tech packs, fittings, and development of children’s clothing designs and prints. You’ll help manage design documents, contribute to reviews, and research trends to inspire new collections.

Ideal candidates have a fashion design background, experience with children’s wear, and proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop. This role offers growth within a dynamic design team and a strong brand aesthetic.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
• Experience in fashion design, internships, or relevant coursework in children's clothing.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of tech pack creation and garment construction processes.
• Creative mindset with a passion for children's fashion and design.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Designer in creating and updating tech packs for children's apparel, ensuring specifications are accurate and comprehensive.
• Collaborate with the Lead Designer to develop innovative designs and prints for the target audience.
• Manage the filing system for design documents for easy access and organization.
• Participate in design reviews and assist in the approval process, providing input and feedback.
• Research trends in children's fashion and textile design to inform new collections.
• Prepare presentation materials and assist in meetings with internal teams and external partners.
• Support production by coordinating with suppliers and manufacturers regarding design specs and timelines.
• Maintain an understanding of the brand aesthetic and target market to align design efforts with company goals.
• Assist in development and implementation of design concepts from ideation to completion.
