Job summary

Easterseals Arkansas is seeking a dedicated kitchen support to prepare and serve meals for children across three facilities in Arkansas. You will follow menus, adapt to dietary needs, and ensure safety and quality at all times.

The role requires operating standard kitchen equipment, maintaining sanitation, and coordinating with the Dietitian and others to ensure timely meals between 5:30am and 2:00pm, Monday through Friday. A ServSafe certification is preferred or obtainable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1 year in general institutional cooking.
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within first 90 days of employment.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between three facilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals and snacks per established menus and dietary needs.
• Serves meals on schedule and maintains safety and sanitation standards.
• Operates kitchen equipment including blenders, mixer, oven, stove and steamer.
• Maintains stock, reports low items, and takes inventory with proper labeling.
• Follows regulatory rules and oversees cleanliness in kitchen and serving areas.
