Job summary

Pacifica Writers' Workshop in Seattle offers creative writing opportunities for kids aged 6-12 through classes, workshops, camps, and tutoring. Instructors teach from a written curriculum and provide constructive feedback.

Qualifications

• Pass a criminal background check.
• At least 6 months experience working with children.
• Ability to teach from a written curriculum and provide basic feedback on writing.

Responsibilities

• Teaching from our original curricula
• Lecturing young students on creative writing topics
• Reading student work and providing feedback on it
• Leading group discussions and class games
• Preparing for every class and arriving on time
• Classroom management and staying until all students are picked up
• Setting up and cleaning teaching space
