Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Bel Air, MD is seeking a Part-time Event Host/Cashier to deliver a fun, stress-free guest experience while supporting store operations.

You will coordinate events, assist customers, handle checkouts, and participate in activities such as kids parties, face painting, and craft classes. Promote rewards and omni-channel services within a friendly retail environment.

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and crafts within the Michaels store.
• Engage with guests of all ages to create a fun, creative environment and provide guidance.
• Demonstrate and instruct party activities, face painting and related activities as needed.
• Support add-ons (goody bags, balloons) and coordinate with store team and clients.
• Assist customers with locating products, checkouts, and omni-channel services (BOPIS/SFS).
• Maintain cleanliness, handle store recovery tasks, and complete admin duties as required.
