Job summary

Gateway Church Frisco is seeking a Kids Coordinator to run the administrative and logistical engine of Gateway Kids at one campus. You will manage check-ins, curriculum supplies, room setup, and Serve Team operations, acting as the first parent contact without pastoral duties.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, two+ years in admin/coordination, and a heart for ministry. Weekend presence is required.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent plus 2+ years in admin/coordination or ministry.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in multisite church environment preferred.
• Ability to recruit, schedule, and retain Serve Team members.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates week-to-week execution of Gateway Kids at the campus within the Pastor's plan.
• Builds and stewards the Serve Team: recruiting, scheduling, training, retention, and appreciation.
• Owns ministry scheduling and calendar: services, events, trainings, room/resource reservations.
• Handles admin processes: purchase requisitions, check requests, expense reports, invoices, vendor payments.
• Maintains the ministry's records: attendance, registrations, follow-up.
• Orders and maintains supplies and materials for the ministry.
• Serves as primary contact between campus ministry and area teams.
• Prepares spaces and materials for services/events; supports before/during/after services.
• Participates in cross-campus meetings and communicates local needs.
• Tracks ministry measures and reports to the Pastor.
• Operates check-in and supports a friendly Kids Guest Experience.
• Coordinates curriculum, classroom supplies, and room setup across environments.
• Coordinates background checks and screening for Serve Team members.
• Supports safety, security, and incident reporting per policy.
• Responds to parent questions; routes concerns to Kids Pastor.
• Present at weekend services and events; performs other duties as assigned.

Where the Kids Pastor owns the ministry's plan, this seat makes the plan happen week to week — the check-in, the curriculum and supplies, the room scheduling, the screening, and the Serve Team that delivers it. This role does not carry pastoral duties or require a ministerial license, but it is often the first point of contact for parents.
