Job summary

Tutu School South San Jose is seeking a warm Ballet Teacher to lead 45-minute classes using our curriculum. You will teach young dancers, support families, assist with retail sales, and keep the studio clean, collaborating with the team.

Ideal candidates have ballet experience and teaching experience. High school diploma preferred. The role includes training, performance metrics, and opportunities to participate in school events.

Qualifications

• Experience in dancing with a ballet background preferred.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead 45-minute classes following Tutu School curriculum.
• Take attendance and answer questions about class membership and promotions.
• Build rapport with students' families and prospective clients.
• Perform basic retail duties including restocking and processing sales via POS.
• Maintain studio, lobby, retail display, and bathroom cleanliness.
• Communicate with management and use Slack for updates.
• Create a safe space for all students and families.
• Participate in teacher meetings and training.
• Meet metrics: trial class 50% conversion, Brave Bash 50% participation.
• Participate in marketing events and promotions.
• Discuss camp, birthday parties, and other offerings.
