Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Humble, TX is seeking a Kids Instructor to deliver best-in-class, educational and fitness-minded programming for children aged three months to 11 years in the Kids Academy. You will organize, instruct and support safe, fun activities and games during planned sessions.

You will greet members, monitor safety, document attendance, and collaborate with parents and team members to promote junior programming and maintain a clean, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• First Aid certification, Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED required within the first 60 days of hire.
• Completion of all Kids On-Demand Required Learnings prior to first day of work.
• Preferred: 6+ months of teaching children ages 3–11 in similar programs or activities.

Responsibilities

• Greets, acknowledges, and interacts with members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Fosters children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development by instructing organized activities.
• Prepares and sets up for class and transfers kids to and from programming.
• Maintains records of children’s attendance, development, and incidents.
• Monitors and interacts with children to maintain a safe environment.
• Uses positive behavior management techniques and communicates with parents and team members.
• Promotes junior programming to increase participation in Kids & Aquatics programs.
• Maintains the Kids Academy by following cleaning checklists and restocking supplies.
• Handles incidents and emergencies calmly and professionally.
