Job summary

Grow With Us Learning Academy in Florida is seeking a dedicated kitchen team member to prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks for children, while following set menus and HACCP standards.

You will organize, clean, and maintain safety, read recipes, manage temps and waste, and support the center's nutritional requirements.

This full-time role requires 40+ hours per week, ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and ServSafe certification to ensure compliant food service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Background verification check mandatory.
• Able to lift 60 pounds.
• Able to read and adhere to recipes and menus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to planned menus for all meals and snacks on time.
• Record food measurements to comply with local/state requirements and control costs with minimal waste.
• Maintain a sanitary, safe kitchen per health standards (FIFO, time/temperature, labeling).
• Ensure thermometers are working and verify expiration dates.
• Clean kitchen and appliances throughout the day per cleaning lists.
• Work hours may include evenings, holidays or weekends as required.
