Job summary

Kidcam Camps @ Chewacla State Park in Auburn, AL is seeking a dynamic Camp Director to lead and energize a team, oversee camper experiences, and uphold the Kidcam Way. You’ll build relationships with families, set standards, and develop staff, ensuring a safe, engaging, and fun summer.

Required are a Bachelor’s degree (preferred), 25+ by start, First Aid/CPR, and experience in camp management or related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
• 25 years of age or older by start date.
• Experience in education, recreation, camp management, social work, psychology, or related field.
• Experience in managing and supervising employees.
• First Aid & CPR certification (coordination provided).
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and basic computer skills.
• Ability to learn and manage the Kidcam Camp Software System.

Responsibilities

• Lead camp operations and set the standard for staff and campers.
• Supervise employees, including young adults, and develop the team.
• Foster positive relationships with families and campers.
• Ensure safety, ACA compliance, and high-quality camper experiences.
• Coordinate training and scheduling using the Kidcam Camp Software System.

At the end of the summer, the success of a Kidcam Director isn't just measured by how well camp ran. Success is measured by the people you developed, the relationships you built, and the experience you created.Education & Experience:Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required.Per ACA standards, minimum 25 years of age by start date.Experience in education, recreation, camp management, social work, psychology, or other related and applicable field.Experience in managing and supervising employees. This includes young adults (high school, college, etc.).First Aid & CPR Certified (Basecamp will coordinate certification prior to the start of camp as needed).Experience with Microsoft 365 and basic computer skills with applications such as Word, Excel, Email, etc..Ability to learn and manage the Kidcam Camp Software System (this will be included in pre camp training).
