Job summary

In-Shape Fitness is seeking a Kid Zone Lead to join our club's leadership team. You will oversee daily operations of the Kid Zone, manage staff scheduling and onboarding, and ensure a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for children and their families.

This role requires patience, strong communication with parents, and the ability to coach and mentor team members. You’ll support events, maintain safety policies, and help grow our welcoming member experience at our California clubs.

Qualifications

• Pre-school or day care experience is desired.
• Flexible/positive attitude in meeting and exceeding member expectations.
• Patience and creative energy to work with children and manage behaviors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; handles pressure well.
• Willing to work a flexible shift: evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Trustline registration will be facilitated by In-Shape upon offer.
• Current CPR or ability to pass CPR within 30 days of hire.
• First Aid Training (required at clubs with pool slides).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment by implementing safety policies and procedures.
• Observe and monitor Kid Zone activities and staff.
• Oversee daily Kid Zone operations, scheduling, onboarding, and program oversight.
• Coordinate activities and events; ensure high-quality experiences for families.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Kid Zone team members.
• Schedule coverage and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and materials.
• Monitor pool and slide during season and enforce rules where applicable.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
