Job summary

Drury Plaza Hotel in Columbus, Ohio is seeking team members for our hospitality team. This role supports the 5:30 Kickback program, assists with food preparation and cleanup, and helps maintain a welcoming lobby and kitchen area.

You will engage guests with a warm, professional demeanor and uphold food safety standards. We value friendly communicators who can inventory food, manage stock levels, and answer guests' questions about the hotel, events, and local attractions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hotel accommodations and services.
• Ability to conduct accurate inventory of food items and calculate order levels.
• Warm and friendly manner in communicating with guests.
• Ability to speak and receive direction in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee the 5:30 Kickback setup for guests.
• Ensure exceptional experiences for guests and team members.
• Oversee food preparation and cleanup for Kickback events.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and lobby areas.
• Ensure food safety standards are met and supplies are stocked at appropriate levels.
• Represent the Drury culture with integrity, service and hospitality to customers and coworkers.
• Answer guest questions using knowledge of the hotel, area and events.
• Provide courteous, friendly guest service with a +1 attitude.

What you will do:

• Make our complimentary 5:30 p.m. Kickback “happy hour” … well, happy for our guests.
• Ensure exceptional, positive experiences for our diverse team members and guests.
• Oversee the 5:30 Kickback for guests through food preparation and with clean-up.
• See to it that the kitchen and lobby area are clean and well organized.
• Ensure that food safety standards are met and supplies are fully stocked at appropriate levels.
• Present and maintain a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality to promote the Drury culture to customers and co-workers.
• Answer guest’s questions using your knowledge of the hotel, area, and events.
• Ensure an exceptional guest experience by providing courteous, friendly, guest service with a +1 Service attitude.
