Job summary

Bob Bell Kia is seeking an experienced Technician to join our service team in Baltimore. Kia/Hyundai experience is required, with flat-rate pay totaling up to $75,000–$125,000 plus incentives.

A sign-on bonus of up to $6,000 is available for certified technicians. The shop is equipped with the latest technology and a comfortable, OSHA-compliant work environment, supporting ongoing training and advancement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience required.
• Kia Certified a plus
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• Team oriented mindset
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and perform service procedures
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
