Saint Bernard is seeking a Key Holder in Southlake to keep the floor running when the Store Manager is away. You will lead the team, drive sales, and ensure every guest enjoys the Saint Bernard experience. This role is the first leadership step, requiring you to run the store during your shift.

You will open or close, manage cash, and coach staff to uphold service standards while maintaining a welcoming environment for customers.

Compensation: $21.00 - $24.00 / hour

Description

The Key Holder is the one who keeps the floor running when the Store Manager and Assistant Manager step away. For that shift, you are the acting manager on duty: leading the team, driving sales, and making sure every guest gets the Saint Bernard experience they came in for. This role is the first step on the leadership path here, built for someone ready to prove they can run the business, not just work a shift. You're not simply opening or closing the store; you're leading it while you hold the keys.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Floor Presence

• Lead by example in customer service standards
• Set the tone for energy, urgency, and professionalism
• Coach support staff in the moment: in-store pickups, phones, greeting, replenishment standards
• Resolve escalated customer concerns independently, work with management when needed

Sales & Client Experience

• Ensure every guest is greeted and welcomed in
• Anticipate potential issues and solve them before they become a problem
• Monitor fitting room and ski boot fitting experiences
• Use the bar to create an "at-home" shopping experience
• Lead by example during peak traffic, making sure every customer is tended to

Operational Accountability

• Open and close the store properly: cash handling, deposits, alarms
• Confirm merchandising standards are maintained
• Keep the ski shop tools and boot fitting area organized and safe
• Verify staff clock-ins for breaks with no gaps in floor coverage
• Send a detailed end-of-day recap email

Team Supervision During Shift

• Assign zones and responsibilities at the start of each shift
• Adjust staffing on the floor as traffic shifts through the day
• Keep downtime productive: recovery, replenishment, client outreach
• Address minor performance issues in the moment
• Communicate larger issues to the General Manager promptly
