The Key Account Manager will report to the Vice President of Foodservice and will be responsible for calling on foodservice customers across the country. The Key Account Manager will work to secure & grow new large partnerships in the national food landscape and collaborate across departments to help chart our next level of growth as a modern beverage company.

About the Role
The Key Account Manager, West will report to the Vice President of Foodservice and will be responsible for calling on foodservice customers and distributors located in the Western United States. The Account Manager, West will work to secure & grow new large partnerships in the foodservice landscape and collaborate across departments to help chart our next level of growth as a modern beverage company.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Maintain strong understanding of the QSR, fast casual, onsite, and foodservice distribution landscape.
  2. Build plans for targeted accounts based on opportunity, size, and volume.
  3. Develop and own a list of specific key accounts across the national foodservice sectors (QSR, fast casual, full service, universities, country clubs, travel, hospitality, workplace), and report weekly on progress.
  4. Identify additional priority markets/territories and identify velocity drivers.
  5. Apply best practices throughout all aspects of the role to gain share of market.
  6. Secure distribution in new accounts within a specified territory; work with distributor reps weekly to ensure distribution execution.
  7. Ensure pricing is aligned on packages in all key accounts; monitor and track regularly.
  8. Build relationships internally and externally, learning best practices, collaborating to move the business forward, and solving problems in existing and new accounts.
  9. Build relationships at the distributor and account level by demonstrating credibility and engagement; help open and manage new accounts and grow existing business.
  10. Build excitement for the brand, solve partner problems, follow-up continuously, and develop ideas to grow the business and increase sales & brand awareness.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the food and/or beverage industry.
  • Proven success in foodservice sales and marketing.
  • Strong industry relationships (e.g., QSR, Vistar, OCS, Compass, Sodexo, Aramark).
  • Ability to be proactive, work independently, and solve problems with imperfect information.
  • Proven relationship management and interpersonal skills; ability to relate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic and tactical thinking skills.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; expert in Excel.
  • Strong communication skills; expert in PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

  • Remote role; candidates must be based on the West Coast and near a major airport, ideally in CA.
  • Must have access to a vehicle and be able to travel up to 50% of the time.

  • Salary range: $90K - $100K.
