Title: Key Account Manager (Lawn & Garden) - Atlanta, GA (Remote)

Description: Job ID: 506390. Job Summary: As a Key Account Manager, your role will involve direct contact with our multi-store and medium to large key accounts, including regional retail chains and Independent Lawn & Garden Centers in Columbus and Michigan markets. You will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining long-term key customers by assessing and understanding their value requirements and expectations. Building strong relationships with strategic customers will be critical to help sustain and grow our business.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Build and maintain trustworthy business relationships with customers by providing prompt and accurate service to promote customer loyalty.
  2. Acquire an intimate understanding of key customer needs, requirements, and expectations and how those align with Oldcastle's capabilities.
  3. Expand relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet the customer's objectives while generating new sales.
  4. Maintain continual focus on organizational and performance goals to ensure they are met.
  5. Deliver excellent customer service through fast and accurate processing of orders, communication, and coordination with other departments to resolve customer challenges and meet their needs.
  6. Work collaboratively with the customer service team, dispatch, and the broader operations team.
  7. Communicate with the Regional Customer Service Manager daily and keep them informed of any pertinent information, changes, or forthcoming challenges.
  8. Other duties may include data entry, general paperwork, and file keeping (mostly electronic).

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, training, and education.
  2. 5+ years of experience as a Key Account Manager, Sales, or Business Development.
  3. Excellent organizational skills and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  4. Problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate and be an integral part of a remote-based team.
  5. Excellent accuracy and precision with a keen eye for detail.
  6. Demonstrated negotiation skills.
  7. Computer savvy and experienced with Microsoft Office products.
  8. Self-starter; professionally autonomous; productive in the absence of micro-supervision.
  9. Experience within the building materials/landscaping industry (preferred).
  10. Experience with Lawson and /Salesforce.com (preferred).
  11. High sense of urgency.
  12. Valid driver's license.
  13. Multi-state / assigned travel is required; up to 50% travel at times.
