Job Title: Key Account Manager

Since 2018, we've powered over 1,500 charging networks across 75 North American markets, partnering with industry leaders like JLL, CBRE, Domino's Pizza, and Hilton. We seek a talented Key Account Manager to drive the continued growth and success of a venture-capital-backed startup.

Position Overview: Join our fast-paced startup to manage and grow AmpUp's most important accounts strategically. We are seeking a results-driven individual who combines critical thinking with hands-on execution, excelling in a dynamic environment. Lead scalable account management, build strong partnerships, and directly impact revenue and customer success. EV charging/electrical experience preferred.

As a Key Account Manager, you will cultivate and expand strategic relationships with AmpUp's most important accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships that drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction. You will lead the development of scalable account management frameworks and processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Development & Execution

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Key Account Strategy from soup to nuts, including segmentation, prioritization, and growth plans with key milestones, aligned with AmpUp’s overall business objectives.
  • Build scalable processes for managing key accounts, ensuring consistency and replicability across the organization.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for AmpUp’s key accounts, nurturing long-term relationships that build trust and drive value.
  • Provide backup and support for customer escalation issues for AmpUp’s key partnerships.
  • Act as a customer advocate internally, ensuring clients’ needs are met and feedback is integrated into AmpUp’s product, service, and support offerings.

Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding relationships within key accounts to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Collaborate with the sales, product, and engineering teams to develop tailored solutions that align with customer goals and AmpUp’s technical capabilities.

Operational Excellence

  • Establish and refine account management tools, processes, and KPIs to track and measure account performance, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead efforts to resolve client escalations and ensure a seamless customer experience.

Industry Expertise

  • Leverage your experience in the EV charging, electrical solutions, or related industries to provide insights and recommendations that enhance AmpUp’s market position.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitive developments, and customer needs to identify opportunities for innovation proactively.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience building and managing key account strategies and processes from the ground up and driving business success through execution.
  • Must possess a strong track record of developing key account strategies and rolling up their sleeves to implement and adapt those strategies in real-time.
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue and growth targets through strategic account management.
  • Proven ability to manage accounts directly, ensuring all aspects of execution are met with detail and precision.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales, account-based marketing, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Experience in developing scalable frameworks, processes, and tools for strategic account management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex accounts and navigate long sales cycles.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in using data to drive decision-making and optimize performance.
  • Advanced CRM proficiency in HubSpot, including managing contacts, companies, deals, workflows, pipeline management, automation, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in EV charging, electrical solutions, or related industries is highly preferred.
  • Experience in SaaS or subscription-based business models.
  • Experience in startup environments.
