Job description

Utz Quality Foods is currently seeking a Key Account Executive located in the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, or Delaware area. The Key Account Executive will be responsible for developing customer relationships with ABSCO Mid Atlantic (Acme / Safeway) and some smaller regional customers, with the primary goal of driving sustainable top- and bottom-line growth.

Key Account Executive, ABSCO:
  1. Engage with assigned customers via in-person, phone, email, and virtual (Microsoft Teams) outreach to develop relationships and drive growth.
  2. Prepare selling materials and utilize tools (e.g., syndicated data, PowerBI) to create fact-based presentations aimed at achieving KPIs such as distribution growth and price realization.
  3. Leverage fact-based selling tools and technology aligned with Utz's channel-specific strategies for merchandising, assortment, pricing, and promotions to develop and prioritize accounts.
  4. Communicate pricing and promotional programs effectively to customers and internal stakeholders.
  5. Proactively monitor sales results, identify opportunities, and address gaps within the customer base.
  6. Maintain knowledge of market and industry trends, competitors, and customer/channel strategies, especially within DSD route-to-market, and develop annual plans accordingly.
  7. Collaborate with operations, supply chain, demand planning, and fulfillment teams to ensure excellent customer service and delivery.
  8. Network and connect with senior decision-makers at assigned accounts to build Joint Business Plans.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 5 years of sales experience calling on large grocery retailers.
  2. Experience with Safeway / Acme or other ABSCO divisions is preferred.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  4. Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
  7. Ability to improve existing processes and procedures.
  8. Solution-oriented attitude, cross-functional collaboration skills, and a commitment to self-development.
  9. Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
