Position Summary

We are currently looking to add a Kettle Operator to our AFNA Prep team. In this position, you will prepare and cook raw foods, oils, and sauces using standard recipes that ensure consistent quality across all products. The Kettle Cook will follow all company policies regarding Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety, and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards.

Schedules are typically Monday - Friday, with occasional Saturdays. Shifts are 8-9 hours, starting at 12:30 pm.

Starting pay is $20.00/hr plus a $0.50 shift differential.

Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Proper setup of cooking equipment at the start of each shift for safety and efficiency
  • Follow recipes accurately without deviations
  • Inspect products for defects and make adjustments as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely Production and Quality reports
  • Take ownership of assigned cooking equipment
  • Engage with team members to improve processes, create efficiencies, and reduce costs
  • Operate machinery safely and troubleshoot during operation
  • Adhere to the Company Allergen Management Policy and other relevant policies
Position Qualifications
  • Must be able to:
    • Lift up to 60 lbs consistently
    • Stay focused on tasks
    • Work around high cooking temperatures
    • Follow written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Previous cooking or batch-making experience is a plus
  • Food manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, or 5S is a plus
