Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Kettle Coordinator to run the Red Kettle Campaign. You will recruit volunteer bell ringers, schedule ringing times, and manage kettle sponsorships with local businesses. You’ll organize pickups, process funds, and keep equipment in good condition while engaging the community throughout the season.

This role emphasizes strong customer service, communication, and organization. A valid driver’s license is required to drive to kettle locations and events.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or sales roles.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit volunteer bell ringers and groups; schedule dates, times and locations.
• Contact volunteers by phone or email to schedule ringing times.
• Call local businesses to sign them up for kettle sponsorship.
• Organize kettle pick-ups and write bucket slips.
• Sort kettle money with volunteers and transfer to bank per guidelines.
• Drop off and pick up kettles when the kettle driver is unavailable.
• Promote bell ringing opportunities in the community.
• Maintain kettle equipment and keep it clean.
• Send thank you notes to volunteers and kettle locations.
• Update Field Rep weekly with kettle locations and amounts.
• Complete end-of-season paperwork and submit to Field Rep.
