Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Kettle Coordinator to manage the Red Kettle Campaign in our community. This role focuses on recruiting volunteer bell ringers, coordinating schedules, and engaging local businesses for kettle sponsorship.

You will sort and transfer kettle money with volunteers, maintain equipment, and complete end-of-season paperwork, while building partnerships that support families year-round.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service or sales.
• Ability to work with volunteers and the public.

Responsibilities

• Recruit volunteer bell ringers and groups, establishing dates, times, and locations.
• Contact volunteers by phone or email to schedule ringing times.
• Call local businesses to secure kettle sponsorships.
• Organize kettle pick-ups and write bucket slips.
• Sort kettle money with volunteers per guidelines.
• Transfer money to bank for processing per guidelines.
• Drop off and pick up kettles when drivers are unavailable.
• Promote bell ringing opportunities in the community.
• Maintain kettle equipment and inspect for damage.
• Send thank you notes to volunteers and kettle locations.
• Update Field Rep weekly with kettle locations and amounts.
• Complete end-of-season paperwork and submit to Field Rep.
