Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Kettle Coordinator to manage daily tasks for running the Red Kettle Campaign in our community.

You will recruit and schedule volunteer bell ringers, contact local businesses for kettle sponsorship, organize kettle pickups, and oversee money handling with volunteers per guidelines. A valid driver’s license is required; prior customer service or sales experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit volunteer bell ringers and groups and set dates, times and locations.
• Contact volunteers by phone or email to schedule ringing times.
• Call local businesses to sign them up for kettle sponsorship.
• Organize kettle pickups to include writing out bucket slips.
• Sort kettle money with volunteers per applicable guidelines.
• Transfer money to bank for processing per applicable guidelines.
• Drop off and pick up kettles when kettle driver is unavailable.
• Promote bell ringing opportunities in the community.
• Maintain kettle equipment – keep clean and inspect for damage.
• Update Field Rep weekly with kettle locations and amounts.
• Complete end of season paperwork and turn it in to Field Rep.
