Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle is seeking an embedded systems software engineer with strong C experience to design, develop, test, and deploy large-scale software across AWS data centers powering EC2 Nitro.

You will collaborate with EC2 teams to shape system architecture, drive best practices, and mentor junior engineers while building high-performance, secure services that run close to the hardware at massive scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Professional experience working on the Linux Kernel
• Professional experience in C programming
• Proficient in at least one CPU architecture such as x86 or ARM
• Understanding of operating system internals

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, testing, and deploying large-scale software running across AWS data centers.
• Collaborate closely with EC2 teams to help curate the team’s roadmap; drive system architecture and best practices; coach junior engineers.
• Establish an engineering mindset for reliability, performance, and security in cloud infrastructure.
• Openness to leveraging AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and technical problem-solving.
