The Meade County College and Career Center in Brandenburg, KY is seeking a Welding Instructor who is dedicated and knowledgeable about making a meaningful difference in students’ lives. This full-time position offers a unique, rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic, student-focused environment teaching welding within a Career and Technical Education program.

The role requires Kentucky teaching certification (Rank III) or eligibility (or equivalent work experience).

• Must hold the Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught; OR must hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught; OR four years of appropriate work experience, two of which must be in the last five years.
• Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
• Special REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be able to acquire the personal national certifications applicable to the program area (NCCR, ABC, AGC). Applicants can be hired without the needed personal certifications but must acquire the needed certification at the next available testing period.

The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE) operates 50 AreaTechnology Centers (ATCs) which serve 115 local feeder districts. A state Area Technology Center (ATC) is asecondary state operated school facility dedicated to the primary purpose of offering state approved four (4)-course Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways within CTE program areas identified by the OCTE. Salary: Dependent on rank and experience

In accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the KentuckyTeachers’ Retirement System.
