Job summary

Mills Nursing and Rehab seeks a Kentucky Medication Aide (KMA) to join our team and support nursing staff with safe, accurate medication administration for residents.

You will work in a fast-paced long-term care setting, collaborating with a care team to uphold high standards of resident-centered care and safety. Prior KMA experience and a passion for helping seniors are highly valued.

Qualifications

  • KMA certification is required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of KMA experience or training, or equivalent.
  • Experience with older adults preferred.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must enjoy working with the senior population.

Responsibilities

  • Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance according to orders.
  • Supervise residents who self-administer medication following guidelines.
  • Report changes in residents' physical condition or behaviors.
  • Maintain resident medication records and related observations.

Mills Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Kentucky Medication Aide (KMA) to join our team!

In this important role, you will support our nursing staff by safely and accurately administering medications to residents, while helping to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained. Your work will directly contribute to the health, comfort, and well-being of our residents each day.

As a KMA, you will be part of a supportive and collaborative care team in a fast-paced long-term care environment. This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, compassionate, and committed to following safety protocols and delivering quality resident-centered care. You’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with residents while playing a key role in their daily care and treatment.

KMA responsibilities:
  • Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance and services according to the health care provider's orders

  • Supervise residents who self-administer medication while following company and regulatory guidelines

  • Report any changes in residents' physical condition and/or behaviors

  • Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents, and observations

KMA Required skills and qualifications:
  • KMA certification required

  • High school diploma or GED

  • One year of KMA experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Previous experience working directly with older adults is preferred

  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • Must enjoy working with the senior population
